Application to Graduate
All eligible candidates should have submitted a completed Application for Graduation form to the Registrar’s office by November 27, 2023. At this time only students who are completing this spring can submit a late application. All others are open to apply for next year's ceremony. If you are unsure if you submitted yours, please contact GraduationApplications@hwanfei.com.
Name Recording
Marist wants to make sure each name called on Commencement day is pronounced correctly. On or about March 27, students will receive an email introducing them to MarchingOrder, an organization working with Marist to record graduate names. Students will first be asked to register on the site and set up a unique password. Once registered, you will be able to access the site and provide the correct pronunciation of your name. If you have questions, please call the Media Center at (845) 575-3635. The deadline for recording names is April 17.
Regalia
Order Deadline: Thursday, April 4, at midnight.
Students who anticipate walking at a commencement ceremony must order a cap and gown, which will be shipped to the student. Marist pays for the cost of the cap and gown, excluding shipping. Once your order is completed, you will receive an electronic confirmation. Contact the Registrar’s Office for questions or order changes.
Dual Degree Program Graduates
If you will receive BOTH a bachelor’s and a master’s degree at the same time, you should order both sets of regalia. Place two separate orders.
Accessories
Herff Jones doesn’t supply gown accessories, such as cords, sashes, stoles, and pins. If you think you may be eligible for an accessory through participation in the Honors Program, study abroad, an honor society, or for other reasons, please reach out to that department directly.
How to Properly Wear Regalia
