Inclement Weather
Institutional communication related to weather delays and cancelations will be sent via MaristAlert. Additionally, the inclement weather line 845-575-5500 and the Marist.edu website will have any notices.
The College will make every effort to notify all Students, Faculty and Staff of institutional delays and closures due to inclement weather by 6:00 AM. Communications will be via MaristAlert, with communications streams limited to email and text.
In a situation where there is inclement weather, but offices are open, or classes are not delayed or cancelled, students and employees must use their best judgment as to whether or not they feel comfortable traveling on the roadways. In these circumstances, it is up to the individual to decide whether or not to travel to campus. The College asks that employees communicate with their supervisors of their planned absence or delay, and their intention to use leave credits, as appropriate. Commuter students should communicate with their instructors.
